This unlacquered brass stopper is made of solid brass. If the faucet is left on while the drain stopper is closed, the opening discharges water down into the drain instead of letting it spill onto the floor. The overflow also allows the sink to drain faster by venting air into the drain. Installation is easy, just make sure the sink stopper gaskets are positioned correctly.
